These really raw cashews are organically grown in Java, Indonesia, with the outer skin/shells removed by hand.
The outer skin on these whole cashews has been removed by hand, which results in a vastly superior product (unlike other cashews that are either steamed or plunged into boiling oil to remove the shell). These cashews are grown by small scale farming communities. The cashews are ungraded so the size varies with some split cashews in the mix.
